Better interoperability of PHP on IIS
One of the nice things about PHP is that you can install and run it on Microsoft Windows IIS platform. If you’ve ever done this as a developer, you know that it works but there are some items that are difficult. Sometimes just installing it is a trick.
Recently, Microsoft and Zend made the announcement that they would be partnering to bring a better cohesiveness to PHP on the Windows platform. For everyone that is always wanting choice, this is great. I have had systems with PHP and Mysql installed on them that also had ASP.net and SQL server or MSDE. I always thought it was a little flaky when set up like this. Hopefully this new announcement will mean that this type of setup will run smoother.
